Here is a little trick to write a nicely HTML formatted text, for example for a Squidoo lens post or anywhere HTML text is required and no WYSIWYG editor provided.
This info I found in a newsletter by Travis Sago the Bum Marketer.

Open the CKEditor in a new tab of your browser. Type your text into the text field , format it with the toolbar buttons.
You may enter links, format your text bold or with different colors.
When you're through, click on the source toolbar item and copy the code to the clipboard.
Now open the tab where you need your code and paste it in. Very easy - no?
