CCleaner is a freeware PC optimization tool, one of the best known cleaning tools available. I used it for quite some time during my Windows years (noy avaiable for Linux) and never had any problem with it. All options are easy to configure.
Several options are on hand to ensure the registry is free of obsolete or incorrect entries and a useful tool is available to take control of start-up programs.
